Mouthpiece refacing includes:
1)  Customize/Balance the facing curve.

2)  Optimize the baffle for proper venting and tone quality.

3)  Modify the tip opening slightly, if desired.

4)  Flatten the table.  (Concave tables not recommended)

Mouthpieces which have their original facing and have not been significantly damaged can usually be refaced successfully.  Mouthpieces which have been given a prior quality reface can sometimes be modified further depending on what material remains.  If the target outcome can’t be met for any reason, I will consult with the client to determine the appropriate plan of action.

d)  Biteplate repair.
e)  Beak shaping.
f)  Chip and crack repair.
g)  Shank bore reduction on metal mouthpieces - providing a tighter fit on the neck.

NOTE:  Cosmetic work is intended to improve the appearance - not necessarily make the piece "like new" (though that may very well be the outcome!).  Severe damage may still be partially visible after repair.

a)  Shank crack repair & banding.

b)  Re-plating of metal mouthpieces.

c)  Modification of original trademarks/facing markings.
